Our Fish Skin
Raw material:
Our raw tilapia skins are from different coloured fish. There are black fish, red fish and mixed coloured fish. This is the reason why the skins have differnt patterns after tanning what gives them a natural look. When using dark colours for dyeing or when bleaching the skins you will not see the patterns anymore. Below some pics of tilapia skins dyed with yellow colour and white ones.

Tanning & Texture:
For the tanning of our fish skins we are using high quality chemicals according to international standards. We produce upper leather (glazed) and soft (suede) leather.
| Upper glazed leather | glazed leather: suitable for wallets, shoes, belts, caps, handbags etc. |
| Soft suede leather | washable leather: suitable fir garment, panels, wallets, shoes, belts, caps, handbags etc. |
| Colour | any colour possible |
| Thickness | 0,8 - 1,4 mm depending on size of skins |
| Strenght | 2 - times, compared to other leather (same thickness) |
The finishing of the skins can be different, depending on order.
Size of skins:
Fish skins are measured in centimeters by width as shown on picture below.
